4th of July Ready!

Lovelies! It’s hard to believe June is almost over + July is almost upon us + the 4th will be here before we know it. I always have a hard time dressing for specific holidays, I just loathe buying a piece for one specific occasion + knowing I won’t wear it again for a whole year (if ever). So when I saw this flirty off-the-shoulder top with lace up details + a blue + faded red stripe… I knew I’d found a great closet staple. Not only can I wear this whenever + with whatever I want, it totally works for a fun + festive July 4th outfit or Memorial Day outfit without being over the top. Just what I like in a festive holiday themed top 😉 + I wanted to share it with you well in advance of the Holiday so you can, ya know, buy it with shopbop’s 2-day prime shipping in case you (like me most holidays) waited until the last minute to conjure up an outfit + have come up short. 😉

I paired it with some distressed jeans (fit TTS + are so soft + broken in that I could live in these!), tortoise sunnies, + blue espadrilles. I have also worn it (in Napa + on Memorial Day) with some white skinnies + flat pinky-nude sandals. It’s gorgeous either way and so fun + flattering. I love the lace up detail + the flirty, flouncy sleeve. So feminine + pretty.

What are your fun plans for the big summer weekend? Traveling? Staying local? Low key with family or throwing a big party? We’re usually local + low key, going to the hub’s annual family BBQ where we are treated to some of the best ribs drenched in the family BBQ recipe, mmmm. And we usually spend the other days of the weekend swimming + grilling + watching fireworks in the grass. Just what summers are made of. Xo, Jules.
