I’ll confess, I had a slightly different post planned for today! But when I was checking to see if any of my favorite Nsale goodies had been restocked and saw that these leopard calf-haired slides were back in almost all sizes I knew I had to share.
These linen joggers have been one of the best purchases of my summer! I’ve been a big fan of joggers and their easy, relaxed feel for years now. I still wear the pair from Banana Republic that triggered the obsession and caused me to hunt them down in all other available colors! Fortunately, Lou & Grey for Loft made a great linen jogger for summer that was too perfect to pass up. I have them in a dove gray in addition to the pair above. Love.
Now, I have paired them with a sweater or two as well as tank tops and worn them for anything from grocery runs to travel style. So versatile! But my most favorite look? Pairing them with other neutrals and then a pop of fall-inspired leopard print! It just adds an instant bit of fun.
These Halogen leopard slides are the only footwear I bought from the big Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Regrets of not buying any other pairs of shoes? None. Totally obsessed with these slides! Now, I know they are no longer on sale but I’m telling you: Go. Buy. Now. These will be your new neutral shoe for fall, plus 124 reviews just don’t lie. You’ll wear them with jeans, with skirts, with midi dresses, with suede jackets and leather moto… with linen joggers and even shorts- the options are endless, these are that cute. They run TTS and I’m wearing a size 8.
Leopard accessories are growing on me in a big way, especially in the footwear department. There’s something really fun and classic about a good leopard print (read: one that isn’t too orange and has the right amount of brown and “spots”) that it can elevate a super simple or basic outfit. If you’re on the fence about leopard I would definitely give these a try. Try them on with some simple outfit formulas without too much color or other prints and see if that inspires you. My favorite leopard shoe + outfit combo? The most classic one: a pair of favorite dark wash denim and a white v-neck tee ever so slightly tucked in with some leopard on the bottom. 🙂
The fun lace detailed sweatshirt I’m wearing is sadly still sold out, but I was meandering through Anthropologie recently and saw an almost exact look-a-like, I had to do a double take! I’ve linked it below just in case you have a lace-sweatshirt-shaped-hole in your closet that you need to fill 😉
Happy hump day. Xo, Jules
