Olive and Pink Layering

Boy oh boy has the weather had me confused lately! It’s been a serious heatwave over here. To the point that I’ve had to bring back some shorts and tanks to try and stay cool. But what I wish I was wearing? Cozy and chic fall layers. Ones that are warm enough when worn together to keep you cozy on a crisp day but also thin enough to keep you comfy if the sun is out. This blush longline vest knocks it out of the park on both accounts. I cannot get enough of it this time of year. The neutral Nudey-blush color matches nearly anything in my wardrobe and the sleeveless and timeless shape of it adds the perfect classic outer layer to any outfit. I’ve worn it over an all white look (here), over top some black skinnies and a cream sweater and over a number of dresses in varying lengths. It just goes with everything.

This time around I matched it with a rusched olive green dress and my favorite rose suede slides to create a perfect look for everyday. This is totally something you could wear both to the office and to a date night or girls night out. It’s so versitile which is the name of the game over here.

This dress is one that I bought at Nordstom last fall but is so popular (for good reason) that they keep bringing it back each season in different colors and sleeve lengths. I can’t say enough great things about it. It’s a comfortable length and looks perfect with everything from a comfy pair of tennis shoes at the playground to sky high heels for date night (I can attest, I’ve worn it both ways a bunch of times). It’s not expensive and is such a staple basic dress for any wardrobe.

Hoping this week cools down so I can rock all my new and old fall faves already! Xo, Jules
