Stripes, Camel and More Red

It’s becoming pretty clear that I’ve been on a “red kick” lately and I don’t think it’s going anywhere anytime soon. It’s sort of like rediscovering an old CD with all your favorite hits from your high school years or rekindling an old flame. It’s an even stronger love than before. And red goes oh so well with my other fall favorites like stripes and camel. What better way to wear all three than together?

Every autumn I find myself falling back in love with all the classic pieces in my wardrobe. Summer I tend to be drawn to boho and flowy pieces that leave room for movement and staying cool while in the cooler months I always want to throw on a classic coat or a sweater with a silky blouse underneath. I just love how classic lines and colors look in the autumn and how they make me feel warm and chic and pulled together.

For this look I went with a black and white striped tee tucked into some cool black jeans that feature a button fly and flared split hem (side note: anyone else think button flys are just so darn cool?!) with my favorite camel car coat popped over top. The length and fit of this coat is so perfect, it is absolutely the classic camel coat of my dreams (and I’ve been dreaming about this one for a good long bit before I found it) and it’s from Zara’s spring collection which means it’s perfectly on trend while also being a budget find. No worries though, I’ve linked similar ones below for you since mine is no longer available. 😉 To finish off the look I added some red suede heels and my favorite bright red lipstick. Such an easy outfit for everyday and so simple to recreate the look with items you already have in your closet!

Happy mid-October!! Xo, jules
