Jogging in my Duster Cardigan

Happy (late) Wednesday dears! Today’s little what-I-wore-Wednesday post is a little delayed but it’s still better than not at all. Between playing mama to a very fast and energetic 2-year-old and this awful weather I just haven’t been feeling inspired to throw open the windows and pull out pretty, flouncy spring dresses. The best I have been able to muster lately has been a neutral cardigan or sweater, some light colored jeans and of course: boots. There’s no escaping this snow globe we seem to be trapped in so in addition to boots I’m swaddled in all the winter layers. The long and short of it: this weather has not made it easy to welcome spring even with all the pretty new pieces I’ve been slowly adding to my wardrobe for the season. Until this gorgeous Free People duster came onto my radar. I paired it with some old favorite joggers and gray tee, gold dainty jewelry and some beautiful new suede kicks (trying so desperately to show my feet any warmer chance I can get). And the result was unbelievably comfortable and laid back while also feeling dressed up for any occasion.

This duster is the perfect piece to wear now and over a nice spring/summer dress later on. Or even over some shorts and a loose tank top on a cool summer evening. I first spotted this sweater in the pretty cream color it comes in but instantly fell in love with this springy lilac-mauve. It’s the perfect way to add a little color to a neutral outfit and it was on sale for $75 in my local Free People (sadly not as deep of a discount online). So if you live near a Free People store, RUN, do not walk to grab this one up before it’s all gone!

These pretty scallop edge suede heels are my new date-night, fancy party, holiday-event, go-to. They are super comfortable and look chic with anything from jeans to joggers to dresses. They are so great and an amazing price for a classic shoe you won’t get tired of.

Hope the week is warm(er) and happy. xo, Jules

  1. I don’t even understand how you made joggers look so great! I would have never ever ever thought of this but you look so casual and put together, I can’t even take it! Love this!
