Lace & Knit with Past Favorites

Happy WIWW loves! Is it just me or did Memorial Day Weekend totally sneak up on us?! While some months seem to just drag on and on (I’m looking at you February/March) it feels like the spring and summer ones fly by in the blink of an eye. And well, here we are looking towards one of my favorite long weekends of the year and what often feels like the early taste of summer time. This year has been a little up and down weather wise with a lot of mixed days of perfect sunshine and chilly rain and clouds. So in order to enjoy some of my spring wardrobe but also stay warm on brisk days I’ve actually been combining a lot of airy spring pieces with some of my favorites from fall and winter.

The outfit below has to be one of my favorites because it is all white (and thus perfect for spring), shows plenty of leg making it feel springy, and keeps me from freezing- a very important factor to consider.

If you have been following along on here, you may notice my pieces looking pretty familiar. This sweet lace skirt is a pretty little piece from last spring, (seen here and here) but I have rounded up some similar favorites that are currently available. It fits like a glove, hits right at the knee and can easily be dressed up or down. It has a timeless shape and the lace detailing is just so feminine and pretty. I have worn it with a simple white tee, crooped sleeveless sweaters, and even a nice fitted turtleneck in the past.

This drop shoulder cream Vince sweater was probably one of my favorite purchases of the last 6 months. I bought it sometime in November/December and it has served me well all through winter and into spring (worn here earlier in spring and here late winter). The color, the chunky knit, and the breathable cotton of it makes it such an easy sweater to wear every season of the year and I already have big plans to wear it come summer. Imagine throwing it on over a pair of denim shorts for a summer evening of BBQing and S’mores or even on a chilly beach day over a swimsuit! It’s seriously a perfect little sweater.

The shoes are a lucky buy from TJ Maxx before a recent family vacation and are oh-so-comfy. Suede, gray, and a low heel make them an easy mama-wearing-sandal that makes me feel a tad more dressed up than a typical flat slide sandal. To finish off the look I threw on my favorite woven circle bag and some dainty gold detail jewelry.

The best part about this look? It’s made up entirely of pieces I already own and love. Don’t ya just love when old favorites find a new way to play together? 😉

Happy almost-long-weekend! Hope you have plans to simply kick back and relax, cold drink in hand. xo, jules
